Tybee Island Pirate Fest is fun for pirates of all ages. Our littlest pirates enjoy and entire area devoted to quality family entertainment. Activities include bounce houses, magicians, storytellers, puppets, live pirate demonstrations, face painting, and many more surprises. Children also enjoy participating in our costume contests and pirate parade.
Roll up, roll up, Gentlemen and Ladies! Gather around and bear witness to entertainments as never before seen in this part of the territories! See the work of a prestidigitator! A samnimbulist! A fire-eater! All for your pleasure! Your amusement! Your edification! Your entertainment!” And so the call goes out. Join Eric and Susan Scites of Faire Wynds Historical Entertainment as they take you back to the traveling entertainers of the early 18th century. Humor, magic and history all rolled up into a family-friendly atmosphere reminiscent of the street faires of early America. www.fairewynds.com
Angela Beasley’s Puppet People
You’ve never seen anything like Angela Beasley’s Puppet People, a local puppet troupe presenting lively, zany performances for all ages. Beasley wants to change the way people think about puppets. “Puppets aren’t just an art form for children,” she said. “Adults can enjoy puppetry as well.” After all, puppets can get away with things humans only dream of!
